Everglades Isles

One of the most beautiful tranquil places I have gone to recently was Everglades Isle, a luxury resort owned by a guy I know, in the tiny middle of nowhere fisherman town of Everglades City. My husband and I joined some friends on 4 hour yacht trip to the 10 thousand island in the Everglades for the day a few weeks back. I posted the whole story of the trip in photos on my personal blog, The Art of Making a Baby, so if you’re interested, go over there to check it out. But in the meantime, just for photography sake and to tickle your senses and possibly bring some warmth to your snowed in homes, I present to you:

INCORPORATING AN IDEA INTO A SELFIE
Ok, let’s admit it, girls! At some point simply taking pretty pictures of yourselves becomes boring. I mean how many times can you really show off your pretty face or your cute outfit?
That’s when some of us transition into something more creative. Themed Selfie.
And not the type where if the theme is a tree and you take a picture by the tree, or a house and you take a picture by the house. You gotta make it fun right?
Nothing is off limits: costumes, flashlights, outdoors. Just get creative. To give you a few examples of what you can do with themes, here’s what I did back when I was very heavy into a self portrait Flickr group, FGR, that gave a theme each day that we were supposed to...

Today I finally finished sorting through and editing images from our trip to the Everglades that I will be posting on my personal blog, The Art of Making a Baby
In the meantime I decided I wanted to post some for todays challenges. I picked out three images and only after uploading them I realized they have a theme: SKY!
Since I had my wisdom teeth surgery I haven’t been able to get out of bed. I haven’t seen sky except from my bedroom window, I haven’t smelled fresh air , I haven’t felt free.
And it shows in my choice of photos today:
