Let’s link up our Week 7 Model Eyes Portraits!
Tutorial for Self Portrait and Model EyesSo around Thursday this week I finally got around doing my make up and hair for the ultimate portrait shoot. The problem presented itself in that I could not find my remote. After numerous attempts to locate it and even involving my husband into the search, I realized it was good and lost.
That, unfortunately, couldn’t stop me from shooting this week selfie. Unfortunately, because it is damn hard to shoot selfies without the convenience of a remote and it takes about 10 x longer to get shot done. I guess I had forgotten how much it sucks shooting without one, because it’s been a long time since I’ve been remoteless.
However, I do not think that really influenced the quality of my images, it simply made it more inconvenient for me to shoot them. It took me about 2 hours and about a pound of sweat to get quite a few decent pictures. Running back and forth between the camera and the location, manually setting the focus by guessing where I ’d be because I couldn’t use a prop since I was shooting outdoors.
I am going to post just the images I am using for this week’s submission, but I will definitely share the rest of the photos I took for this week in other posts in the future.
All in all I had a lot of fun.

How did you get so good at this? I keep giggling and laughing each time I try. I made my hubby watch the video too in hopes he could help critique me but we just keep laughing. When I don’t laugh, I just look mad. Argh! :O)
