More photo from Labor Day. The next morning a few more people drove up from central Florida, and we started the full on jumping.

By the evening, we got the table ready with a ton of sushi, blew up some balloons, invited some more friends and neighbors, and India went to town doing our hair.

I got a wig put in It felt sooo weird.

{I just would like to note that these aren’t the best quality, because this was my first week owning a DSLR. They will get better as I continue editing other years and events. Hope it doesn’t bother you all too much}

I’m starting my edits as far back as 2007, though I will probably jump around depending on my mood. That was the year we hosted a Black and White Martini Party for Labor Day. It was also the same party that I met some of my fellow bloggers ( back when I had a blog on a Russian blogging service). I always love meeting with people I know well online- it’s so much fun.
The two girls arrived throughout the day, one with her hubby, another with her new baby and it was instantly pool time.
This was also the week I got my first DSLR, so I was just learning to use it.

Being the pro pool jumper ( lol jk), I tried to get the shyest one, Nat, to jump with me. After a few attempts to literally walk into the pool by her, she finally got the “run and jump” method.

After the pool , we grabbed some food with mandatory around the table self portraits Again, you can tell who was a bit more shy and who was all about having fun Note: Nat did warm up towards the end and turned into quite a party girl

I have 4 more days of the party to edit, so more pictures coming up.

Last weekend, instead of getting work done like planned, or cleaning our filthy house, we spent both Saturday and Sunday relaxing at the pool.
I didn’t take many pictures, but a few are worth sharing.

The cutie is my friend Anna’s baby, Alex. He’s 4 months old and is absolutely adorable.

The flowers below are my favorite type of potted flower. A year ago I bought seeds and planted them, and only this year did they bother to start blooming like crazy. I’ll post more pictures of the urn some time, but they look gorgeous.

As a continuation of the springtime post, I present you with some pool time. The other day we finally ventured to the pool. We’ve had pool weather for the last 2 months, but this was the first time we actually went for a swim with our neighbors. I gotta tell you the weather right now is absolutely gorgeous. So gorgeous it’s hard for me to fathom that somewhere else in the country/world there’s still snow on the  ground.

Oh my Gosh, this is one of the few times that I can actually participate in one of the PaperMama challenges. We don’t have kids, I rarely take pictures of my pets ( how many photos can you have of similar looking black cats?)
So finally I got some pictures of the neighbor’s kid, who I love like my own by the way. Just in time for the challenge.
I know not brilliant but an entry, nevertheless.

By the way, he’s the best Poser ever! You point the camera at him and he starts giving you all kind of poses… boom boom boom
